I love baking. Call me on any random weekend or evening after work, and chances are good you’ll catch me whipping up a buttercream storm to frost cupcakes I’ve got, almost always, cooling on the counter, or spooning dollops of cookie dough onto a baking sheet.

I am also that girl who loves things that look pretty. My food included. I toast my sandwich bread in the mornings so it looks nice when I eat it at lunch. Even though my sandwich is anything but crispy, four hours later, sitting inside a zip-lock bag buried in the bottom of my oversized bag, I think food that looks good always tastes better.

It’s no surprise then that I like my food to be aesthetically pleasing, which is why I absolutely love making the things I bake look more like tiny pieces of art, as opposed to something you’d find in a local grocery store. Luxury dessert, if you will.

I love classic flavours and pairings, but have a passion for coming up with new combinations that put a twist on familiar favourites. I am always looking for new (and sometimes unexpected!) ingredients to make everything taste even better than it did the last time I made it.

Good things come in small packages! Enjoy!

Product photography taken by two close friends Gabriel Li, who specializes in wedding photography, and Ryan Lau. Their work is extraordinary and both are regular taste testers in the Sugar Baking kitchen!
